Im kicking the bucket around about getting back in another race car, also kicking the bucket around about getting back into racing at the airport raceway or dodge's track. I know its frowned upon about bringing up Dodge City but I haven't heard anything about next year for the Airport Raceway. Has anyone heard if the track will be firing off another season of racing? Any new racers coming to the Airport? Car count going up or down? Just would like to get some more information since its been a while since I've raced or even attended a race at the Airport. Sorry if anyone takes this post negatively, just curious on buying a sprint for the Airport raceway or a stock car, hobby stock car for dodge.
Thanks in advance and my apologies again if anyone takes it personal

We are still here, Dustin. We are having our awards banquet on Sunday night and will hopefully vote on the 2015 Racing Schedule then. We have once again applied for a grant to hold the 5th Annual Fallen Racers Memorial Race. That only answers part of your questions though. You probably know that in the racing industry there are ups and downs and our track is no exception. There was a large race held a few years ago that soured our track to many people. We are working our tails off to show that we have a great facility, we are family friendly, and can run a great show. Are we there yet? No, but we have improved in many ways. As for car count, Dwarf cars are down but starting to trickle back. Remember all those Jr. Sprint drivers? They have moved up to Restrictors and A Class, so both of these classes are growing. Open class is not growing yet but when travelers come in, it's a great show. This past year we had B Class cars come in from Amarillo and it was one AWESOME event. We added Modified Lawn Mowers and this class is quickly becoming a fan favorite too. We can't get more honest about the track then this. We don't bash the Dodge City track and we hope that you find a reason to come back to racing whether it is here or in Dodge City. If you have questions, or want some leads on available sprint cars or dwarf cars, please call. Currently Russ is vice president and he will be glad to talk to you about any of this.
