Here is the outcome from the rules meeting held Sunday.
Agreed upon by parents present at the meeting held 1/24/2010 at the Garden City Coop Conference Room. The families present included a representative from The Walker’s, The Baker’s, The Koch’s, The Maddox’s, and the flagman Brad McCartney. Dave Frazer was present to represent the track. Everyone that participates in the racing fun was invited to attend. The rules agreed upon are as listed below:
There will be Drivers Meeting held with the kids prior to each nights racing.
Engine Rules: (Novice is defined as a first year racer. Pro is for age 13 and under racers that have raced more than one season.) (QMA stands for Quarter Midgets of America)
-The Horstman Gold Restrictor Plate with the orifice measuring .575” is required for the racers in the Pro Junior Sprint class running the Briggs Raptor Engine.
-The Horstman Purple Restrictor Plate with the orifice measuring .425” is required for the racers in the Novice Junior Sprint class running the Briggs Raptor Engine.
-The QMA Blue Restrictor Plate with the orifice measuring .4375” is required for the racers in the Pro Junior Sprint Class running the Honda GX 120 or GX 160 Engine.
- The QMA Red Restrictor Plate with the orifice measuring .3125” is required for the racers in the Novice Junior Sprint Class running the Honda GX 120 or GX 160 Engine.
-Bolts are required to secure the carburetor to the block. No STUDS will be allowed.
-All air guides and fins must be in place with bolts. No STUDS will be allowed.
-The parents of each driver will tech the engines as they deem necessary. The car owner will disassemble the engine as the other parents observe. A visual inspection as well as a go-no-go gauge will be used by an observing parent.
Chassis:
-Any car racing in the Pro Junior Sprint class must weigh at least 230lbs with the driver. (After every feature race, each car will weigh.)
-Any car racing in the Novice Junior Sprint class must weigh at least 200lbs with the driver. (After every feature race, each car will weigh.)
-No suspension is allowed on a chassis other than those run on the QMA circuit. If this becomes too much of an advantage, this will be addressed.
Penalties:
- 1st Offense: Loss of ALL POINTS (Includes trophy if received that night)
-2nd Offense: 3 race suspension.
-3rd Offense: Remainder of season suspension.
